| Deadline Information: | To enter, beginning Jan. 1, 2009, the student should submit a complete application online at www.scholarshipexperts.com/apply.htx.
The application must include name and contact information, background details, academic details, and a short, original, previously unpublished written response to the scholarship topic, "Create a 'top ten list' of the craziest or most unique scholarships you have heard of, and briefly describe each scholarship." (Note: The scholarships may be real or fictional.
The written response must be in English, with correct spelling and grammar, and must not exceed 250 words. All applications become the property of the sponsor and will not be returned. The sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries. Limit one application per person.
All applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on the deadline date. |
| Number of Recipients: | Five awards offered annually. |
| Award Amount: | $1,000 annually, non-renewable.
Each scholarship prize will be in the form of a check made payable to the accredited postsecondary institution of higher education attended by the scholarship prize recipient (once the Sscholarship prize recipient has enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education and submitted proof of enrollment to the sponsor). Scholarship prize recipients must submit proof of enrollment on or before Dec 31, 2014. |
| Requirements: | - Must be 13 years of age or older at time of application.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
- Must be a resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
- Must be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2014) in an accredited, postsecondary institution of higher education.
- This award is for U.S. students.

| Additional Information: | All students, regardless of academic merit or financial need, are encouraged to apply.
The sponsor is looking for eligible applicants who follow directions and submit applications that are well-written and clearly and creatively address the topic. On or about Feb.15, 2010, a qualified panel of judges will select five potential winners based on the criteria of writing ability (25 percent), creativity (25 percent), originality (25 percent), and overall excellence (25 percent). The sponsor will select at least five of the submitted applications as the potential prize-winning applications.
Current employees, officers, directors and agents of the sponsor and its related companies and members of their immediate families (defined as spouse, parents, siblings and children) and persons residing at the same address are not eligible to win. |
