Education Matters Scholarship

Does a College Education Still Matter?

There has been a lot of talk in the media about the return on investment (ROI) for those who attend college. Some believe that the cost of a college education is starting to outweigh the benefits, or that students should consider starting a business instead of hitting the books. Personally, I think a college degree is priceless; there’s so much more to school than assignments and exams. College is where you can discover who you are and what drives you. It also gives you time to explore potential careers and make connections. Yes, a few people may get lucky enough to stumble upon the next big thing and strike it rich, but that’s not going to happen for the majority of us. College education does matter but not to every one. There are thousands of people that feels like college is not for them because they may thinks it too much for them. Teenagers bring themselves down every day because they are told they are not smart enough and they will never be anything. If you are told this you will start to feel like it even though you can be better than what you are told.
