Hey guys! February is here, which means that Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. That got us thinking about people exchanging gifts with their sweethearts. Some people go way “over the top” and proclaim their love for one another on the jumbo-tron at the game, while others embrace smaller, simpler gestures. In this video, Ashley is going to tell you about our new Sweet & Simple Scholarship (inspired by Valentine’s Day), including the eligibility requirements, essay topic, and what you need to do to be a strong contender for the award.
If you’re like most people, you probably agree that it feels great to receive a gift. Who doesn’t love the thrill of opening a beautifully wrapped present? Well, here at ScholarshipExperts.com, we don’t believe that every gift has to be expensive or extravagant. In fact, sometimes it’s the sweet and simple things that make a real difference in our lives. For the Sweet & Simple Scholarship, we are asking you to think back and tell us about something you received as a gift and why it meant so much to you. Sure, it can be a story about receiving a diamond ring from a loved one, but feel free to tell us about the little things, too. Perhaps it was a random act of kindness from a stranger, or maybe a teacher gave you some words of encouragement on a sticky note. The possibilities are endless.
To apply, you must be:
- 13 years of age or older at the time of application
- A legal resident of the United States
- Have plans to enroll in an accredited college or university
Just make sure your essay is only 250 words or less. That’s pretty simple. One winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship. And that is pretty sweet. Apply for the Sweet and Simple Scholarship soon…the deadline is February 28. We look forward to reading your responses. Good luck!
