Michael Jackson Are you an African American student?  When dreaming of furthering your education, do you envision yourself majoring in performance arts, English, or communications?   If you answered yes to these questions, then we just might have the scholarship you’ve been looking for.

Michael Jackson, the well known pop icon, left behind a legacy of generosity.  In 1986, he donated over one million dollars to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) to establish a scholarship endowment.  This fund has enabled over 500 students to attend college since 1986, and the original gift continues to earn interest so that future students can also receive scholarships.

Requirements:

Annual awards for undergraduate students attending a UNCF member college or university. Students must be majoring in communications, English or performing arts. Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be eligible for or receiving financial aid. Students must submit the FAFSA.

The first step in applying for this scholarship is to fill out the UNCF’s general college application.  If you have already done so, visit the UNCF scholarship page for additional details on this and other scholarships you may be eligible for.
