Unigo Group Awards over $100,000 in Scholarships

Are you familiar with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge? Of course you are. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve no doubt seen the thousands of videos (and failures) making the rounds on YouTube, Facebook, and other social media channels. The success of this campaign (to date it has raised over $107 million) has spawned yet another charity plea across Twitter — #PayMyTuitionChallenge. Students are asking celebrities, millionaires, and large corporations to step up and help them make their college dreams a reality. One company, though, has already accepted that challenge, but well before a single tweet ever hit the stream.

Laughter is Good for the Soul and Your Bank Account!

We all know that laughter is the best medicine, but did you also know that it could help you win some free cash for college? It’s true! ScholarshipExperts.com is once again offering the Make Me Laugh Scholarship, and one winner will be laughing all the way to the bank. To enter, simply share a funny or embarrassing moment from your life. A not-so-funny $1,500 is on the line, so you’ll need to seriously consider your response before submitting an application.

Need a little inspiration? Just think back to some of the moments shared on YouTube or America’s Funniest Videos that have made you laugh out loud. It doesn’t have to be anything outrageous, either. For example, maybe you made a grand entrance at your high school graduation, but it didn’t turn out exactly as you had planned.

5 Simple Words Could Lead to Scholarship Money

Have you ever thought about what the future holds for you? I’m not talking about which college you plan to attend or what major you will choose. No, I’m talking about life after college. I know when I was a senior in high school, I envisioned a life filled with adventure. My plan was to become a veterinarian and head off to Africa to help endangered animals. I was particularly interested in studying the big cats. I would dream about hiding in the brush just a few feet away from a pride of lions or playfully tagging along with a cheetah during a hunt. Eventually, I would settle down and open a sanctuary to help increase awareness about these majestic creatures.

Unfortunately, I never made my high school dream a reality, but that doesn’t mean my life isn’t filled with adventure. In fact, I have two feline friends at home who keep me on my toes. They may be small in size, but they have attitudes to rival any jungle panther or African lion. And, instead of helping endangered animals, I’m helping another struggling species — broke students, which brings me to the reason for this post.

Ice Cream and the 4th of July – A Perfect Scholarship Match!

I don’t know about you, but there’s just something about the 4th of July that screams summer is finally here! Maybe it’s the backyard barbecues or the family outings to the beach. Maybe, it’s the brilliantly colored fireworks that make us all feel like kids again. Or, quite possibly, it’s simply because it happens to fall during National Ice Cream Month.

5 Reasons to Love Five

5 Reasons the Number Five is Fabulous!

The number five is everywhere – in music, literature, sports and more! Without it, some things just wouldn’t be the same. For example, could you imagine how weird it would be if there were only four Olympic rings instead of five (sorry Australia!) or the Pentagon had only four sides? Don’t forget about your feet. Flip-flops would never look right with just four toes. In England, children can start drinking alcohol at the age of five (at home), which may explain why the U.K. is number six on the list of ‘Smartest Countries in the World’ and the U.S. is number two. Even nature is hooked on the number five. Cut open an apple and you’ll find five seeds. Many species of starfish have five arms (Patrick!) and wild roses have five petals. It’s easy to fall in love with the number five when you see how much influence it has in our lives. Here are five other reasons why I think five is fabulous!
