Mississippi Critical Needs Teacher Loan/Scholarship (CNTP)
This award is available for Mississippi junior or senior undergraduate students who are attending a Mississippi college or university and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. Students must be pursuing a program to obtain class A teacher licensing and have passed the Praxis I OR have a composite score of 21 or higher on the ACT with a score of 18 or more on all sub-scores OR have a score of 990 or higher on the SAT.

Award Amount:
The annual award amount for full-time students at a Mississippi public college or university shall equal the total cost for tuition, room and board, not to exceed an amount equal to the highest total cost of tuition, room and meals assessed by a State Institution of Higher Learning. The award amount is prorated for part time students.

- The number of awards varies annually according to the amount of funds available and the number of eligible students. A limited number of awards may be available to freshmen and sophomores if funds allow.
