Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund

This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are the dependent child of a U.S. soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, or guardsman who was killed or permanently disabled (100 percent rating) as a result of an operational mission or training accident, OR a dependent child of a soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, or guardsman who is currently classified as a POW or MIA. Students must be 26 years of age or younger.

Award Amount:

The amount of each award varies annually. Award amounts are based on the student's individual circumstances. Once enrollment is verified, the scholarship check will be mailed directly to recipient's school.

This award is renewable if the recipient shows proof of satisfactory academic progress (maintaining a grade point average of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale) and that he/she is still enrolled full time as an undergraduate at an accredited educational/technical institution. Current scholarship recipients can submit their renewal information on the Freedom Alliance website.

Recipients:
The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, 168 scholarships were awarded. All applicants who meet the qualifications will receive an award.
