This scholarship is available for U.S. female high schoolers who have a demonstrated outstanding aptitude and interest in IT/computing. Students must have a good academic history, typically a grade point average of 3.0 or better.

Each qualified national award winner will receive the following: a $500 cash award; a laptop computer (provided by Bank of America); an engraved award for both the student and the student's school; and a trip to attend the Bank of America Technology Showcase and Awards Ceremony. The ceremony will be held in Charlotte, NC, during March 2013. The trip package includes airfare for non-local winners (those outside a 50-mile radius of the Charlotte, NC metro area), some meals, and lodging for each awardee and one accompanying parent/legal guardian. Additional scholarships may be available to national award winners attending one of the participating universities listed at http://ww2.ncwit.org/award/award.scholarships.php Please note: Past applicants, including semi-finalists, are encouraged to reapply; however, previous award winners are not eligible to reapply or receive any additional awards.
