This award is for U.S. students 15 to 18 years old, or those in grades 10 through 12, who have a talent for the arts.

youngARTS winners share over $500,000 in cash awards. The awards are disbursed as follows: Gold Awards - $10,000 annually, non-renewable. Silver Awards - $5,000 annually, non-renewable. Level I - $3,000 annually, non-renewable. Level II - $1,500 annually, non-renewable. Level III - $1,000 annually, non-renewable. The following award levels receive a cash award but do not particpate in youngARTS Week in Miami, FL.: Honorable Mention Awards - $250 annually, non-renewable. Merit Awards - $100 annually, non-renewable.
- As a result of participating in the youngARTS program, approximately 400 artists receive direct cash awards. Others are noted for their excellence through merit awards. In all, almost 10 percent of all the youngARTS program applicants receive some kind of award or recognition for their talents.
