This award is available to high school and undergraduate students 24 years of age or younger who have an interest in sewing, knitting or fashion design. The applicant must live in or attend school in a state that has an American Sheep Industry Association.
Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. Often, scholarship providers offer similar scholarships each year. This award is scheduled to be updated within the next few months. Please check back for more information at a later date.

$2,000 will be awarded by the American Sheep Industry Women (junior and senior winners). $1,000 will be awarded by the Mohair Council of America (junior or senior award for a complete garment made of mohair). $1,000 will be awarded by the Pendleton Woolen Mills (junior winner). $1,000 will be awarded by American Wool Council (fashion/apparel design) All awards are offered annually and are non-renewable.
- Four awards offered annually. Please note: Scholarships are only awarded at the national level. Fabrics, sewing books, equipment and notions are awarded at state and national levels. State winners at the junior and senior levels advance to the national competition. Past national junior and senior winners may not compete again in the same age division.
