This research contest is available for U.S. students who work individually or as part of a team to develop a scientific research project. All participants must be currently enrolled high school students, and applicants in the individual competition must be in their final year of high school.
Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. Often, scholarship providers offer similar scholarships each year. This award is scheduled to be updated within the next few months. Please check back for more information at a later date.

Fifty-four regional finalists will receive awards of $1,000 each, and six regional winners will receive awards of $3,000 each. National runners-up will receive scholarships ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. The first-place national winners will receive awards of $100,000 each. All awards are made on an annual basis and are non-renewable. Individual and team entries receive separate awards. Teams must divide winnings equally among team members (except for regional finalist awards), while individual participants will receive the entire amount.
