This award is available for U.S. African American graduating high school seniors who are legal residents of and attend high school in Louisiana. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, have an ACT score of 19 or higher, and must plan to attend a four year college/university in the state of Louisiana

Full tuition (less financial aid), a paid internship at JPMorgan Chase in the summer, and a $500 stipend for books and supplies are awarded annually, renewable for three years. Each recipient will also be provided with a support network of mentors, peer advisors and Smart Start Program Management. Each recipient must maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher during his/her freshman year and a 3.0 or higher thereafter.
