This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college or university by fall 2013. Students must submit a detailed essay that describes one outstanding, non-academic achievement they have accomplished.

The 52 AXA Achievers will receive $10,000 each. From among the 52 state recipients, 10 students will be named national AXA Achievers. They will be selected to receive an additional national award of $15,000 each for a total of $25,000 per national recipient. Awards are not renewable; however, recipients may arrange to receive payment in installments, up to four years, as long as the student continues to enroll in an undergraduate course of study. Payments will be made in two installments on Aug. 15, 2013, and Dec. 30, 2013, and mailed to each recipient's home address. Checks will be made payable to the school for the recipient's account. AXA Achievement Scholarships must be used for education-related expenses for undergraduate study only.
