This essay contest is open to all U.S. high school students who are members of the classes of 2014 and 2015. Students must submit an 800- to 1,200-word essay on a topic related to religious liberty.
The first-place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship and a trip to Washington, D.C. to receive his/her award at the BJC board meeting. The trip includes reasonable travel and lodging expenses for contest winner and accompanying parent or guardian to attend the BJC board meeting. The second-place winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The third-place winner will receive a $250 scholarship. All scholarship awards are offered annually and are non-renewable.
