This scholarship is available Oklahoma resident undergraduate students who are attending an Oklahoma college or university. Students must plan to teach in an Oklahoma public school in a critical teacher shortage area.
An award amount for each nominated student will be determined by the college the student attends. Annual award limits are set each year by the State Regents Office. The award amount is based on the student's enrollment and is currently: full-time students with 60 or more hours completed toward a bachelor's degree can receive a maximum of $1,500; full-time students with less than 60 hours completed can receive up to $1,000; part-time students with 60 hours or more can receive up to $750; and part-time students with 60 hours or less can receive up to $500. Recipients may receive the scholarship for not more than four years, or the equivalent of four years, of full-time study.
