Waiver for Nonresidents Enrolled within 100 Miles of the Texas Border
This award is available for residents of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, or Oklahoma who are enrolled in one of the following public universities in Texas: Midwestern State University, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas A&M University-Galveston, or West Texas A&M University.

Award Amount:
The award allows residents of neighboring states who are enrolled in an eligible Texas institution to pay a reduced tuition rate tuition cost. The award amount varies from institution to institution. Eligible students are allowed to pay a lowered non-resident tuition rate which must be at least $30 more per hour more than the resident rate.

- Approximately 1,000 waivers disbursed annually.
