Forbes “Best of the Web” Review

The best scholarship search engine we’ve found. There is no fee to search its database of national, state and local awards and the payback may be thousands of dollars in college aid. The nine-page questionnaire covers all the bases, like whether the student is from a single-parent home or the first family member to attend college.

Though some questions seem a bit ludicrous: like whether a student is right-handed, or lives in the delivery area of Papa John’s Pizza, there are actually matching scholarships in the database for just such students. Our profile pulled up 55 national and four state awards, arranged by deadline, far more than [some of the other] scholarship search engines we examined. Click on each, such as the Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry offered by the University of Tulsa, and you’ll get details such as award amount, number of recipients and contact information.
