dEACTIVATED National Peace Essay Contest

Students attending high school in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories OR U.S. citizens attending high school overseas are eligible for this award. Students must be in grades nine through twelve at time of application.

Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. Often, scholarship providers offer similar scholarships each year. This award is scheduled to be updated within the next few months. Please check back for more information at a later date.

Award Amount:

First-place state winners receive $1,000. First-place state winners compete for national awards of $10,000, $5,000, and $2,500 for first-, second-, and third-place, respectively. In addition, all first-place state winners are invited to attend an all-expense-paid awards program in Washington, D.C. in June. All awards are made on an annual basis and are non-renewable.

Recipients:
There can be up to one winner from each state for a potential of 53 awards. Each state winner will compete for national awards.
