This award is available for high school seniors who are residents of the United States, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) or 2.5 or higher (on a 5.0 scale). Students must also be a sibling of a child who has or has had cancer. An applicant who has a brother or sister who has cancer, but is no longer in treatment, is also eligible to apply as long as he/she was living in the same household and between the ages of 4 and 18 when his/her sibling was diagnosed and treated. Half-brothers/sisters and step-brothers/sisters are eligible to apply, as long as they are living in the same household as a child who has cancer.
Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship recipients must provide SuperSibs! with updates on their progress at a minimum of two times during their first year (in December and June). Additional and ongoing updates will be welcome, but not required.
