American University Methodist Tuition Remission Scholarship

This award is for high school seniors and undergraduate students who are 22 years old or younger and planning to attend American University in Washington, D.C. The student must be a dependent of an active ordained Pan-Methodist Commission clergy or deacon who is under appointment by the Resident Bishop to full-time service in the church.

Award Amount:

Up to half-tuition annually, renewable for up to three additional years. The 2014-2015 tuition rate for full-time undergraduate students is $41,316 per academic year. Please note: The scholarship is not available for summer sessions. To continue receiving the scholarship, the student must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher as proof of academic progress toward earning his/her degree. The student must also show proof of his/her registration each semester to the scholarship officer in the Office of the University Chaplain.
