This award is available for international and U.S. college juniors and/or seniors. Students must be enrolled in a metallurgical/materials science engineering program. The applicant must be a member of the Material Advantage student program. (A student membership application may accompany the scholarship application.)

- The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS)
$2,000 annually, non-renewable. Up to $500 for travel expenses will be available to the recipients to attend the TMS Annual Meeting to accept the award. Each scholarship recipient is also given the opportunity to select up to five extraction and processing division-sponsored conference proceedings or textbooks to be donated in the recipient's name to the his/her school's library.
