Grady-Rayam Prize (Florida)

High school juniors or seniors who attend high school in Florida and are of Afro-ethnic heritage are eligible for this award. Students must be competing in the female or male vocal category.

Award Amount:

One winner will be selected for both the male and female categories. Each winner (one male and one female) will receive college tuition assistance grant of $3,000 and a cash prize in the amount of $300. All singers who make it to the final round receive a cash award of $100. Scholarship monies are supplied directly to an accredited institution of higher learning where a winner is actually accepted and enrolled within two years of date of graduation from high school. All awards are offered annually and are non-renewable. Previous winners of the Grady-Rayam Prize are not eligible to return to competition.

Twenty-two awards offered annually. Two winners will be selected to receive a tuition assistance grant and cash award, and each of the singers who makes it to the final round (10 female and 10 male) will receive a cash award.
