International and U.S. students studying at an accredited law school in the United States are eligible to enter this writing competition. Students must submit an essay on a cutting-edge legal issue affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or intersex community.
Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. $1,000 annually, non-renewable. In addition, the winners will receive paid registration, airfare, and lodging for the annual Lavender Law Career Fair & Conference. The first place essay will also appear in the 'Journal of Law and Sexuality'.
