AMS Graduate Fellowship in the History of Science

U.S. students who are in the process of completing a dissertation on the history of the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences are eligible for this award. Candidates must be members or student members of the American Meteorological Society.

The Fellowship carries a $15,000 stipend and will support one year of dissertation research. Fellowships cannot be deferred and must be used for the year awarded, but can be used to support research at a location away from the student's institution, provided the plan is approved by the student's thesis advisor. The award is non-renewable.
