MTNA Young Artist Performance Competition

This music performance competition is open to U.S. students who are 19-26 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2016. Students must enter in one of the following categories: brass (trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba); piano; string (violin, viola, cello, string bass); voice; woodwind (flute, clarient, oboe, bassoon, saxophone).

Award Amount:

Awards are given in each competition category (brass, piano, string, voice, woodwind) as follows: national winner, $3,000; second place winner, $1,500; merit award, $100. All national finalists in the piano category and their teachers will receive a plaque courtesy of Steinway & Sons. The teachers of all national winners will receive $200. All awards are given as cash prizes and are non-renewable.
