MTNA Young Artist Performance Competition

This music performance competition is open to U.S. students who are 19-26 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2015. Students must enter in one of the following categories: brass (trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba); piano; string (violin, viola, cello, string bass); voice; woodwind (flute, clarient, oboe, bassoon, saxophone).

Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. Often, scholarship providers offer similar scholarships each year. This award is scheduled to be updated within the next few months. Please check back for more information at a later date.

Award Amount:

Awards are given in each competition category (brass, piano, string, voice, woodwind) as follows: national winner, $3,000; second place winner, $1,500; merit award, $100. All national finalists in the piano category and their teachers will receive a plaque courtesy of Steinway & Sons. The teachers of all national winners will receive $200. All awards are given as cash prizes and are non-renewable.
