Ayn Rand - Anthem Essay Contest

U.S. and international students who are currently enrolled in eighth, ninth or tenth grade are eligible to apply for this award. To enter, students must write an essay of 600 to 1,200 words on one of the three topics listed on the Ayn Rand Institute website.

Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. Awards are for cash prizes in the amounts of: first prize, $2,000; second prizes, $500; third prizes, $200; finalist prizes, $50; semifinalist prizes, $30. All awards are made on an annual basis and are non-renewable.

236 awards offered annually: one first prize; five second prizes; 10 third prizes; 45 finalist prizes; 175 semifinalist prizes.
