This award is available to Florida high school seniors and incoming graduate students who are of Hispanic descent and enroll at a participating Florida institution. Students must have an unweighted cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

$2,000 annually. Awards are automatically renewable. Undergraduate students may renew for a maximum of eight semesters (twelve quarters) over a period of no more than six consecutive years, or until receipt of a baccalaureate degree, whichever occurs first (or ten semesters or fifteen quarters for students in five-year programs). Graduate students may renew for a maximum of four semesters or six quarters. In order to renew, students must have earned a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, continue to be enrolled full time, and continue to demonstrate $2,000 or more in financial need.
- The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants and available funding. In the 2013-2014 academic year, there were 27 initial awards disbursed.
