Ayn Rand - Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest

Current high school seniors and undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply for this award. To enter, each student must write an essay of 800 to 1,600 words discussing 'Atlas Shrugged'; students must select one of the specific essay prompts listed on the Ayn Rand Institute website.

Awards are for cash prizes in the following amounts: first prize, $20,000; second prizes, $2,000; third prizes, $1,000; finalist prizes, $100; semifinalist prizes, $50. All awards are non-renewable.

84 awards offered annually as follows: 1 first prize; 3 second prizes; 5 third prizes; 25 finalist prizes; 50 semifinalist prizes.
