The Accel award covers a percentage of the tuition cost at eligible public colleges or universities within the University System of Georgia or Technical College System of Georgia. For the current academic year, award amounts range from $1,333 to $4,000 annually. To determine the exact award amount visit the Georgia Student Finance Commission Students website. Recipients are eligible to continue receiving awards until he/she has attempted 127 semester (190 quarter) hours of college degree credit or until the completion of a baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first.
- The number of awards offered each year may vary depending on the number of qualified applicants and the amount of funding available. In the previous academic year, approximately 3,100 awards were disbursed.
