Missouri State University Board of Governors Scholarship

This award is for U.S. high school seniors who plan to attend Missouri State University. The student must have a grade point average of 3.9 or higher or graduate in the top 10 percent of his/her high school AND must have an ACT score of 28 or higher or an SAT score (reading/math) of 1250 or higher; students who receive an International Baccalaureate diploma will also receive this scholarship.

Award Amount:

$5,000 annually. Non-Missouri residents will also receive a full waiver of non-resident fees. The scholarship is renewable for three additional years if the recipient maintains a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and completes 30 or more credit hours each academic year. To renew for the fourth year, the recipient must have completed an average of 40 hours of community or campus service each year during his/her first three years. Recipients also have access to a $500 voucher to apply toward an MSU-approved study away program.

It is MSU's intent to award this scholarship to all qualified students who apply by the deadline; however, MSU reserves the right to limit the number of scholarships based on availability of funding. For this reason, students are encouraged to apply for admission early.
