We The Students Scholarship Contest

U.S. students aged 14 through 19 in grades 9 through 12 are eligible to enter this essay contest. Students must write an essay of no more than 800 words on the Declaration of Independence.

Please note: Although the application deadline for this award has passed, we wanted you to know about this award as a possibility for next year. Often, scholarship providers offer similar scholarships each year. This award is scheduled to be updated within the next few months. Please check back for more information at a later date.

Award Amount:

The first-place winner will receive $5,000, the second-place winner will receive $3,000, the third-place winner will receive $1,500, and the honorable mention recipients will receive $300 each. All awards are offered annually and are non-renewable.

Eight awards offered annually. One first, second, and third place prize and five honorable mentions will be given.
